In this process, Nickel Triangular Bars is reacted with carbon monoxide in the presence of a sulphur catalyst at around 40 Degree C – 80 Degree C to form nickel carbonyl. Iron gives iron penta – carbonyl, too, but this reaction is slow. Di – cobalt octa – carbonyl is also formed in nickel distillation as a by – product of Nickel Bars, but it decomposes to tetra – cobalt dodeca – carbonyl at the reaction temperature to give a non – volatile solid. In hot or concentrated solutions of Nickel Rods, rates are usually too high for reasonable service life.
